I grew up in West Milford, and as a result, learned how to play the bagpipes in middle school, becoming one of the West Milford Highlander Band bagpipers. Upon graduation, I competed both solo and with a grade 4 band for over 5 years, as well as playing at seasonal parades and events. I still enjoy playing the bagpipes whenever I get the chance and hope to return to competition again one day.
